WELCOME

The Taranaki Medical Foundation (TMF) is a registered charity dedicated to advancing medical education, research, and collaboration for the benefit of the local community.

The Foundation supports its aims through monthly continuing medical education (CME) meetings, endorsed by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP), as well as grants, scholarships, and encouragement of locally led research. TMF helps to grow the knowledge, skills, and professional networks of doctors working in Taranaki.

SUPPORTING TARANAKI

By investing in medical research, we're backing our Taranaki community.

A great example is our involvement in the Whanau Pakari programme.  Whanau Pakari is the most comprehensive programme in New Zealand for children and teenagers dealing with weight issues.  To learn more about Whanau Pakari click here.

We've also supported the development of a software tool to screen for ADHD and ground breaking study into knee density following arthroplasty.
