SUMMER STUDENT PROJECTS

Each year, the Taranaki Medical Foundation Summer Research Scholarship Programme connects Taranaki medical students with experienced clinicians to undertake supervised research projects over the summer break.

The programme provides students with valuable research experience, mentorship, and clinical exposure, while supporting projects that may contribute to service improvement, quality assurance, clinical practice, education, or future publication.

We welcome project proposals from senior clinicians interested in supervising a medical student during the summer.

Applications

Project proposals are open from 1 June to 31 July each year.

Before you begin, please ensure you have any supporting documents ready to upload as part of your application.

All applicants will be notified of the outcome once project selection and student allocations have been finalised.

Before You Apply

Please read the Supervisor-Student Agreement before submitting your proposal.
